42/44 Dual Channel Audio Panel / ICS
|
 |
|
 |
Dual Channel: Specifically designed for special mission applications,
the AMS42 and AMS44 have dual radio controls to independently
select radio transmit and receiver audio. The dual channel
configuration provides independent radio control for pilot
and co-pilot within the space of a single controller plus
intercom support for the crew and five passengers. Each pilot
can choose the communications set-up specific to their role
in the mission. The pilot can be selected on COM 1 while the
co-pilot transmits and receives on FM 2 for true split transmit
capabilities.
A full selection of receiver select switches are provided
for each channel to further enable the pilots to remain independent
from each other. The AMS42 and AMS44 have transmit capability
for 5 COMs with “Auto-receive” function. The AMS44
has select monitoring switching for each COM plus 5 NAVs.
The AMS42 has receiver select switches for the first 4 COMs.
COM 5 is set up for auto-receive only. NAV inputs are selectable
by internal dip switches. The AA92H and AA94 series provide
the ability to customize controllers to meet specific needs
and missions.
Intercom: An integral intercom features one of the highest
headphone outputs in the industry with up to 500 mW per channel.
Single channel controllers support 2 crew plus 4 passengers,
dual channel controllers support 2 crew plus 5 passengers.
The intercom system features NAT’s unique high performance
Active Noise Filtering (ANF™) system to achieve the
best possible intercommunications in noisy aircraft environments.
Voice activated squelch (VOX) uses NAT’s voice-tracking
circuit that combines low noise audio processing with selective
voice-band squelch triggering for effective hands-free ICS
operation. Dual channel controllers provide a Pilot Isolate
mode to allow the pilot to separate from the intercom system
for complete isolation.
Direct Inputs: Two direct inputs accommodate functions such
as Rad Alt, GPS Alerts, Low Rotor, or Telephone ringer.

Single Channel: The AMS43 series is a standard controller
providing transmit and intercom (ICS) capabilities for pilot
and co-pilot plus intercom for 4 passengers. Panel controls
include a master RX volume, ICS volume and ICS squelch (VOX)
adjust. “Auto-receive” function is standard along
with selectable receive switches for coms and nav sources.
An ICS Tie line is provided to allow multiple controllers
to be networked. The AA95, 96 and 97 controllers can be custom
configured to support up to 6 transceivers or 5 transceivers
plus PA.
Intercom: An integral intercom features one of the
highest headphone outputs in the industry with up to 500 mW
per channel. Single channel controllers support 2 crew plus
4 passengers, dual channel controllers support 2 crew plus
5 passengers. The intercom system features NAT’s unique
high performance Active Noise Filtering (ANF™) system
to achieve the best possible intercommunications in noisy
aircraft environments. Voice activated squelch (VOX) uses
NAT’s voice-tracking circuit that combines low noise

Stereo Audio Panel / ICS |

The small size and extensive radio and intercom functions of the AA12 Series make this an excellent choice for many installations. The new AA12S compact stereo audio controller provides high performance audio to four positions with LIVE/KEYED/VOX ICS modes. The AA12 mono-aural units provide support for six positions. Two positions have full RX/TX/ICS capability, with the balance of the positions having RX/ICS only. Pilot ISO operation, automatic fail passive switching for the pilot, and TX annunciation are standard features on the AA12 and AA12S. Music input is available and is muted during ICS, RX and TX operation. Operational for either 14 VDC or 28 VDC aircraft (specify voltage for panel lights). The AA12 is also available in a 6.25" tray mount version.

NPX Series General Description:
NAT’s family of self contained panel mount FM transceivers
are designed as stand-alone, mission specific radios. Their
lightweight compact design is perfect for the space and weight
restriction of helicopters and light fixed wing aircraft.
Incorporating NAT’s proven, user friendly Tac/Com II™operating
system, the NPX series is simple to program and easy to use.
Main volume control and a scan select switch are conveniently
located beside the display. The squelch test, channel up/down,
and display brightness controls are easily identified along
the bottom of the panel. A separate guard volume and guard
transmit select switch is provided. With no complex patterns
or codes to memorize, the NPX’s straight forward controls
and online "Help" screens insure intuitive operation.
PC software is available for fast, convenient programming
of complete channel information. The capability to upload
and download NPX channels allows users to store multiple sets
of operating frequencies for quick transitions between contract
assignments. These compact radios incorporate solid chassis
construction, user friendly controls and are tested to stringent
aircraft environmental standards. Whether the mission is forestry,
law enforcement, business communications or other applications,
the NPX family of radios will satisfy the most demanding operational
needs.
NPX138N:
This USFS compliant radio was specifically designed to fulfill
contract required functionality. The synthesized frequency-agile
transceiver allows easy access to all pre-programmed channels
and the ability to modify or add channels on the fly.
At less than 2" high and 3 lb., NAT’s self-contained
panel mount NPX138 radios are designed as stand-alone units
for the single mission user. The lightweight state-of-the-art
compact design is perfect for the space and weight restricted
environment of a helicopter or light fixed-wing aircraft.
Each of the 100 memory channels available can store a receive
frequency with CTCSS tone, a transmit frequency with CTCSS
tone, scan function and an alpha-numeric identifier on a 32
character LED display. Transmit power of 1 or 10 watts is
easily selectable from the front of the NPX.
The optional synthesized two channel guard receiver allows
front panel tuning of user frequencies, ensuring communication
integrity during complex flight operations. Each individual
channel is operator selectable for wide (5 kHz deviation)
and narrow band (2.5 kHz deviation) operation. DTMF encoding
and direct keyboard programming can be added using NAT’s
DTE12.
Panel lighting is available in either 28, 14 or 5 VDC controlled
through the aircraft dimmer bus. NVG compatible lighting is
optional.
