wires the pilot's headset to the aircraft radio in the event of
disrupted power or related failure.
- Separate pilot and copilot transmit capabilities
ensures that only the person pressing the PTT will be heard over the
radio. A red transmit light is illuminated when a PTT is pressed --
this also serves as a "stuck-mic" indicator.
- The intercom volume does not effect the aircraft radio
volume, and the pilot has the ability to control the audio level of
the intercom independently from the audio level of the aircraft radio.
- An optional digital recorder can provide up to one
minute of storage of radio receptions. A continuous loop recorder, it
does not record "dead air time", giving the pilots an option
to store up to 16 messages at any one time.

FEATURES:
- A multi-position mode switch allows the pilot to select either Pilot Isolate
or All intercom modes.
- The ISO mode isolates the pilot from the intercom, and connects directly with the aircraft radios. The copilot and passengers are free to have conversation and enjoy the entertainment without radio interruption. The pilot is not distracted by passenger intercom use and has control over the radio communications.
- The "ALL" mode places everybody on a party line. Each person hears all intercom conversation and aircraft radio reception. Everyone hears the entertainment source as well.
- An optional digital recorder can provide up to one
minute of storage of radio receptions. A continuous loop recorder, it
does not record "dead air time", giving the pilots an option
to store up to 16 messages at any one time.
- The "Off" mode is part of the automatic fail-safe interconnect to the aircraft systems. If power to the intercom is disrupted, the pilot's headset is automatically connected to the aircraft radio. This permits continuous radio communications.

The PMA7000MS-CD combines a version of the PMA7000MS and
PCD7100 to create an extremely versatile audio panel with
a remote-mounted compact disc player. The single-disk player
is controlled by the PMA7000MS-CD, eliminating the pushbuttons
on the CD player itself. This reduces panel space requirements
by 25%, not to mention costs. To make room for the CD controls,
the rotary switch was eliminated in favor of a push button
transceiver selector. It also sports the controls for the
compact disk player. The DME and ADF buttons were also dropped
(although the audio inputs are still functional).
The split mode, pioneered by PS Engineering, is still available, but now uses an intuitive push button selection. To make operation simpler, Com 1 priority is provided to the pilot, in split mode, with copilot selection of Com 2 or 3.
The audio panel has concentric volume controls, one for intercom and one music volume. The PMA7000MS-CD retains the dual independent music sources. These can be paralleled to the PCD7100-R if desired.
The telecommunications distribution in the PMA7000MS-CD has also been improved by adding a full-duplex interface to aviation-standard impedance. This allows distribution of AirCell and GARMIN's Pilot Navtalk conversations, providing private telephone calls by the pilot or copilot, or party line calls with the passengers and/or crew, using Com 3. The unit can easily be configured as either a Com 3 aviation or Com 3 AirCell interface at installation.
The PMA7000MS-CD now has four un-switched and un-muted inputs. This adds flexibility when installed with today's advanced warning systems, like Skywatch or
TAWS.

PS Engineering has again demonstrated its forward thinking,
adding value and utility to the lauded PMA8000B audio panel
by installing a utility interface on the FRONT of the unit
and by adding Smart Function Keys (SFK), allowing pilots to
customize their audio panel.
The front-mounted, 2.5mm multipurpose jack will give pilots
unprecedented access to their audio panel by allowing connection
of a cell phone, portable music devices, or audio announcements
directly into the audio panel. Not only have PS Engineering's
designers added the jack to the panel, but new audio panel
configuration controls are now available from the front panel,
making the PMA8000B the most flexible audio panel in the world.
These new capabilities are a direct result of recent advances
in avionics for situational awareness as well as new pilot
requirements. For an example, when flying with the new GARMIN
GPS396, the front panel utility jack is perfect and convenient
way to hook up its audio output.
The PMA8000B Features:
- Built in cellphone audio switching (pilot, crew and all
passengers)
- Built in front panel aux jack (music, cellphone or advisory)
- GMA340 plug in replacement
- Pilot programmable functions
- Internal digital recording and playback system (up to
16 radio calls)

The long-established leader in general aviation audio control has added to their extensive
list of products with the introduction of the PAC24. This audio control panel was designed
from the outset as an upgrade/replacement for the popular KMA24 –71, a product manufactured
by King Radio. The KMA24-71 was used extensively in dual audio panel installations for
high-performance and rotary-wing aircraft.
The PAC24 can easily replace these units, while adding utility and performance. The
many of enhancements include; a powerful headset audio amplifier, and high-performance
IntelliVox® intercom, dual audio capability in a single box, full duplex mode for wireless
operations, and expansion capability with stereo IFE input.
Pilots want clear crew intercommunications and simple operation. That is what IntelliVox®
is all about! We have had great success with the IntelliVox® in the loudest environments,
from open door helicopters to WWII bombers. The IntelliVox® loves noise! The IntelliVox®
makes conversation seamless for crew and passengers, and can responds to dynamic flight
conditions.
Like the KMA24-71, the PAC24 can accommodate 5 transceivers. A monaural system, the
PAC24 can include a music input. SoftMute™ silences music during radio traffic, but allows
music other times.
Besides the powerful intercommunication functions, the PAC24 incorporates a split mode
that will allow a single audio panel to separate two pilots on different transceivers. The pilot
can transmit and receive in com 1, while the copilot position will have access to four other
radios. In a dual configuration, the PAC24 uses a digital interface that permits unprecedented
control of the radio and intercom configuration. When combined with IntelliPax™ expansion
system, the dual PAC24 can be a 14-place system.
The audio amplifier is capable of providing 120 milliwatts (mW) into general aviation
headphones. According to PS Engineering's founder and president, “We asked helicopter
pilots what they needed. They said they wanted more audio punch to get through the cockpit
noise. Since they will wear earplugs under their helmets, they need a clean audio signal
with lots of energy.
The PAC24 features:
- Powerful 120 mW headset amplifiers
-
IntelliVox® intercom for 2 to 5 places, expandable to 10
- Slide in replacement for KMA24-71
- Split modes
- Patented Swap mode
- 5 transceiver capable
- Dual panel configurable
- Music input with SoftMute™
- Dual volume controls (pilot and Copilot/passengers)

The PXE7300 marks a new level of price performance for Single/Twin Engine and Turbo Prop Aircraft in the In-Flight Entertainment market place. Combining three entertainment systems, (MP3, CD, AM/FM radio) the PXE7300 brings to the aircraft owner a system that not only is very reasonably priced, but has the functionality that makes sense in the cockpit.
This module and capability is offered as an upgrade to exiting PXE7300 installations at an optimal cost. Known as Option SR, the pilot can add the capability of coast to coast of clear radio reception without ever changing your dial!
Included with this system is an AM/FM aircraft antenna, that was designed to be mounted inside the aircraft. This eliminates the need for your installer to drill holes in your aircraft to mount an antenna, and significantly reducing the cost of the installation. (Note: it may be necessary for optimum reception to mount external antennas, however, based upon our experiences, these inside mounted antennas generally work very well)
Finally, we have developed a user interface that was designed by pilots, for pilots. This is not a modified automobile player, it never was one. Rather, it is a system that was designed from the ground up to be installed and used in the cockpit. And to top it off, it looks like it belongs in the aircraft too. Using the same mechanical features and faceplates as found on our audio panels, and other vendor radios, the PXE7300 looks at home in the aircraft panel as any other piece of avionics.
Here is what you get with the PXE7300:
- FAA STC'd/PMA with over 600 airplanes approved for installation
- Conventional CD (70 minutes)
- MP3 Audio Files (up to 10 hrs) using standard CD or CD RW discs
- MP3Pro Audio Files (Almost 20 hours, 288 titles)
- FM Broadcast –AM Broadcast
- Auxiliary (to interface external sources)
